Terms of Service
Effective date: March 29, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RLVNCE platform, including the website, dashboard, APIs, MCP server, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by RLVNCE Inc. ("RLVNCE", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- "Account" means your registration with the Service, including your login credentials and associated organization.
- "API Key" means a unique authentication credential issued to you for programmatic access to the Service.
- "Corpus" means a searchable collection of indexed web documents, either created by you ("User Corpus") or maintained by RLVNCE and made available through the Catalog ("Curated Corpus").
- "Catalog" means the directory of Curated Corpora and community-published corpora available for subscription within the Service.
- "Connector" means a software component that fetches and extracts documents from a source for indexing.
- "Content" means the text, data, metadata, and other material extracted from web sources and indexed within a Corpus.
- "Organization" means the billing and data isolation boundary within the Service. Each Organization has its own corpora, API keys, usage counters, members, and billing.
- "Plan" means the subscription tier (Free, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise) that determines your usage limits, features, and pricing.
- "Source" means a seed URL, domain, or other target that a Connector crawls to produce indexed documents within a Corpus.

- You must provide accurate and complete registration information, including a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your account information current.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@rlvnce.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or API keys.
- One person or entity may maintain multiple Organizations. Each Organization is a separate billing and data boundary.
3. Use of the Service
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Service to:
- Create and manage corpora by providing seed URLs and domains for crawling
- Configure crawl policies, search policies, and ranking parameters for your corpora
- Search your corpora and subscribed Catalog corpora via the REST API, MCP server, or dashboard
- Fetch, browse, and sample indexed documents
- Monitor document changes via the change feed API and webhook subscriptions
- Subscribe to Curated Corpora and community-published corpora in the Catalog
- Manage your Organization, team members, API keys, and billing
- Integrate the Service into your applications, agents, and workflows via the API and MCP server
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to crawl, index, or redistribute content in violation of applicable law, including copyright, data protection, or privacy laws
- Submit sources that you do not have authorization to crawl, or that are protected by access controls you are circumventing
- Use the Service to build a product that competes directly with the core RLVNCE platform (building vertical applications on top of the Service is encouraged)
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, usage quotas, or any other technical restrictions
- Share, sell, or transfer API keys to third parties outside your Organization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except to the extent permitted by applicable law
- Use the Service to store, index, or transmit malware, phishing content, or other harmful material
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' access
- Use the Service to conduct surveillance, mass data collection of personal information, or any activity that violates individuals' privacy rights
3.3 Crawling Conduct
The Service crawls web sources on your behalf. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Service respects robots.txt directives by default. You may configure your corpus to override this behavior, in which case you accept responsibility for compliance with the target site's terms of use.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to crawl and index the sources you submit.
- The Service enforces rate limiting, crawl depth limits, and byte quotas to minimize impact on target sites.
- We may suspend or restrict crawling of specific sources if we receive complaints, detect abusive crawl patterns, or determine that crawling violates these Terms or applicable law.
4. Catalog and Curated Corpora
- Curated Corpora are provided on an "as available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep them current and accurate but do not guarantee completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- Access to Curated Corpora is read-only. You may search, fetch documents, subscribe to change feeds, and create webhook subscriptions. You may not modify sources, crawl policy, or search policy of Curated Corpora.
- We may add, modify, or discontinue Curated Corpora at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before discontinuing a corpus that has active subscribers.
- Content in Curated Corpora is sourced from publicly available web pages. RLVNCE does not claim ownership of the underlying content. Your use of content retrieved from Curated Corpora is subject to the original content owners' terms and applicable law.
5. Plans, Billing, and Payment
5.1 Plans
The Service is available under four plan tiers: Free, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. Each plan specifies limits on corpora, queries, crawled pages, API keys, and other dimensions. Current plan details and limits are available on the Pricing page and in the dashboard.
5.2 Free Plan
The Free plan is available without a credit card. It is subject to lower usage limits and hard caps (no overages). We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits at any time with reasonable notice.
5.3 Paid Plans
- Paid plans require a valid payment method via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable base fee and metered usage.
- Base fees are billed monthly in advance. Metered usage exceeding plan-included limits is billed monthly in arrears at the per-unit overage rate for your plan tier.
- All fees are in US dollars unless otherwise specified. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for paying.
- You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time via the dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
5.4 Late Payment
If payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect using your payment method on file. If payment is not received within 14 days, we may suspend your account. Suspended accounts cannot create corpora, trigger crawls, or execute searches. Existing data is retained for 30 days, after which we may delete it.
5.5 Refunds
Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@rlvnce.com within 30 days.
6. API Keys and Access
- API keys authenticate programmatic access to the Service. Each key is shown once upon creation and cannot be retrieved again.
- You may create API keys with scoped permissions (restricting access to specific corpora or operations) and expiration dates.
- You must not embed API keys in client-side code, public repositories, or any location accessible to unauthorized parties.
- You may revoke any API key immediately via the dashboard or API. Revocation is permanent.
- We may revoke or disable API keys without notice if we detect unauthorized use, abuse, or a security incident.
7. Data and Content
7.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of your corpora, source configurations, crawl policies, search policies, and any other data you provide to the Service ("Your Data").
7.2 Indexed Content
Content crawled and indexed by the Service originates from third-party websites. RLVNCE does not claim ownership of this content. You are responsible for ensuring your use of indexed content complies with the original content owners' terms and applicable law.
7.3 How We Use Your Data
- We use Your Data solely to operate and improve the Service.
- We may use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve the Service. We will not use your indexed content, source lists, or search queries for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.
- We do not sell, rent, or share Your Data with third parties, except as required to deliver the Service or as required by law.
7.4 Data Isolation
Each Organization's data is isolated. Corpora, documents, API keys, and usage data are scoped to the Organization and not accessible by other Organizations, except for corpora you explicitly publish to the Catalog.
7.5 Data Deletion
When you delete a corpus, we permanently remove all associated documents, index data, and change events. Deletion is irreversible. When you delete your account, we permanently remove all your Organizations, corpora, API keys, and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Service (including its software, APIs, documentation, dashboard, and MCP server) is owned by RLVNCE Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You retain all rights to Your Data.
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your Plan.
- Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation to you.
9. Webhooks and Integrations
- You may register webhook endpoints to receive change notifications from your corpora. You are responsible for the availability and security of your webhook endpoints.
- Webhook payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256. You should verify signatures before processing deliveries.
- If your webhook endpoint fails to respond consistently, the Service will retry with exponential backoff and may automatically disable the subscription after sustained failures.
- We are not responsible for the actions taken by your systems in response to webhook deliveries.
10. Service Availability and Support
- We aim to provide the Service with reasonable availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage unless separately agreed in an Enterprise agreement.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for changes that materially affect your use of the Service.
- Support is provided via email at support@rlvnce.com. Enterprise plan customers may receive enhanced support as specified in their agreement.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR COMPLETENESS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; THAT CRAWLED AND INDEXED CONTENT WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR CURRENT; THAT SEARCH RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; OR THAT CURATED CORPORA WILL COVER ALL RELEVANT SOURCES.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RLVNCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. RLVNCE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RLVNCE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF RLVNCE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RLVNCE, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: your use of the Service; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any third-party rights; and content you cause to be crawled, indexed, or published through the Service.
14. Term and Termination
- These Terms are effective when you create an account and remain in effect until terminated.
- You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the dashboard or by contacting support@rlvnce.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid fees.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, your payment is overdue for more than 30 days, we are required to do so by law, or we discontinue the Service (with at least 30 days' notice).
- Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will delete Your Data in accordance with Section 7.5. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 16) will survive.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and terminate your account.
16. General Provisions
- Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Dispute Resolution. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, conducted in Wilmington, Delaware. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
- Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with any applicable Enterprise agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RLVNCE regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Notices. Notices to you will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Notices to us should be sent to legal@rlvnce.com.
